What’s That Snake Project Officer

Salary: £19,782 pro rata (pensionable)
Location: Hereford
Position Type: Part Time, Fixed Term Contract

Details:
The aim of the project is to develop community awareness of the reptiles of the county, and to co-ordinate a survey programme to increase knowledge about the county’s reptiles populations and status. 

The post will involve working with schools; producing information packs and displays; running training events; undertaking and co-ordinating survey work; and developing conservation management advice packs. The Project Officer will also be responsible for reporting to funders and submitting grant claims. 

Knowledge of reptile ecology is essential and a proven track record of project management desirable. 

The post is part time (18.5hrs per week) till end June 2010.

Finance Officer

Salary: £20,631 per annum pro rata (pensionable)

Details:
Herefordshire's primary nature conservation charity is seeking to employ a Finance Officer to manage its funds. The post is responsible for a multiplicity of budgets amounting to a turnover of over £700,000 as well as being responsible for pensions, payroll, VAT, invoicing, financial reporting and meeting statutory requirements. You should have at least 5 years experience of managing finances, preferably in the voluntary sector, and be conversant with SAGE and double entry book keeping.

The post is part time (30 hrs per week) and is permanent.
