NEWS: Trust Secures Major Land Purchase on Anglesey
The North Wales Wildlife Trust has successfully raised over £250,000 to purchase land next to its Cors Goch nature reserve on Anglesey.
The Trust saw the opportunity to buy Rhuddlan fawr as part of a “bridge” towards the nearby Cors Erddreiniog nature reserve, which would allow wildlife to move more freely between the two reserves, increasing chances of survival. The Trust launched their “Fens Re-united Appeal” in May and following a fantastic response by July, they had raised over £40,000 from their members and the public, and attracted grants from the Tubney Charitable Trust and the Countryside Council for Wales. A legacy made up the difference so that by October contracts were exchanged.
