Purple Haze at Gors Maen Llwyd
Situated on the Northern edge of Llyn Brenig, the heather moorland at Gors Maen Llwyd blooms and turns the landscape into a purple haze. Come and marvel at the view and discover some of the wildlife that live on the reserve with the heather. Meet at the car park SH 983 575 at 1pm please wear suitable footwear and clothing for the weather. Elephants and Hawks of the Night!
Night time hides some beautiful creatures and on National Moth Night the North Wales Wildlife Trust will be moth trapping at Loggerheads Country Park, courtesy of Denbighshire County Council. Coed Cilygroeslwyd
Explore the woods of Coed Cilygroesllwyd, hunting for chewed nuts to see what animals live there and in particular hunt for evidence of the elusive dormouse. Well-controlled dogs welcome on walks unless otherwise stated. The ‘Windows on Wildlife’ meetings will take place on the 1st Thursday of the month at St Cyngar’s Church Hall, Llangefni, and may include a ‘supporting item’. Admission to all indoor meetings: £2 to include refreshments.
