Trees of Time and Place

Trees of Time and Place is a partnership project designed to encourage people to collect seeds from a special, favourite tree, to sow them, grow them and take care of them and then when the young trees are big enough, plant them back into the same landscape as a symbol, linking the last millennium to the next. This will ensure that hundreds ofpeople all over the country will be celebrating the millennium and beyond by planting their trees of time and place. Sheffield Wildlife Trust, Heeley Development Trust and the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) have been helping to support this campaign by organising events with schools and local people.
