Introduction

The Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) is the region's response to the UK's National BAP. This focuses on aspects of the local ecology which are in need of protection or conservation. The BAP will set the targets and methods for ensuring the continued presence of wildlife in Birmingham and the Black Country into the next millennium.

The majority of the Action Plans are also available to view and print as Adobe Acrobat® files. These can be accessed by selecting the symbol next to the name of the action plan. (Note the Acrobat files are c5 times larger than the equivalent HTML files so will take longer to download). To return to this screen after viewing an Acrobat Action Plan, it will be necessary to use your Web-browser's "Back Button". If you do not have Adobe Acrobat and wish to download the latest version (v4) then please follow the link under "Accessories".
