Services

EcoRecord can supply the following types of information:

• Species lists for sites or regions of the Black Country and Birmingham, either in full or limited to selected taxa.
• Distribution maps on a county or district coverage for species, sites, habitats or other requested features.
• Site Descriptions for most of the 500+ areas of nature conservation interest in the region.
• Definitive site boundary maps for the protected conservation sites - SINCs
• Graphical comparison of distributions of contrasting or related features.
• Habitat maps (for selected areas only) for sites.
• Any of the above facilities can be combined to produced customized individual reports to the clients requirements.

The above services are free to voluntary nature conservation organisations, educational institutions and the general public, although charges for expenses may be made. A charge for administration and analysis will be made for commercial enquiries at a base rate of £30/hour with a minimum charge for any single enquiry of £55 (plus VAT). Charges may be waived if no data is available for the search area. Information will normally be sent within 10 working days. There is an express service to accommodate more urgent requests, this will add an additional £50 fee to the overall cost of the data search.
